Job Description

Our methadone program in Pueblo is hiring for the position of Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for the efficient and professional presentation of the reception area and proper coordination with patients and other clinic guests. Customer service is the primary focus of the position.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Superior customer service and professional demeanor
  • Professional and courteous behavior and interaction with all program participants.
  • Cleaning of clinic and maintaining an inventory of clinic supplies.
  • Make referrals for identified mental health, physical health, and social determinants of health needs.
  • Help patients with insurance enrollment and re-enrollment.
  • Insurance verification and payment collection.
  • Answer calls and make patient appointments.
  • Complete administrative intake paperwork with new patients.
  • Coordinate patient care between community providers and Elevate Healthcare.
  • Identify patient stressors and precursors and provide support by linking them up with an Elevate Healthcare provider or an external resource.
  • Identify available coping mechanisms and natural supports.
  • Other job-related duties assigned by the
Program Director Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related health care field; or a Bachelor's degree in non-related field if one year in the health field.
Physical:
  • Frequent sitting at desk or computer while typing, completing paperwork, or meeting with patients.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying, paperwork, files, office supplies, up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional push/pull exerting up to 5-10 lbs. force, opening doors, file drawers, pushing files in drawers
  • Occasional kneeling/crouching and ability to reach lower file drawers, stretching to store or retrieve materials.
Mental Position requires constant mental alertness, attention to detail, and high degree of accuracy required. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and follow-through on all assignments. Must be able to work independently and be able to use sound judgment in critical decisions.
