We are currently seeking to add a part-time Administrative Assistant to our team in Glastonbury, CT . We are willing to train a motivated, reliable individual with a strong willingness to learn. Summary:
The part-time Office Assistant will provide general administrative and clerical support to the Glastonbury, CT office. This role supports office operations, assists projects and field teams with documentation, and helps maintain organized, efficient workflows. The idea candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a construction related business environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls in a professional manner. Open, date, stamp, and sort incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail and shipments. Maintain paper and electronic filing systems (e.g., project folders, vendor files, employee documents consistent with company policy). Prepare, edit, and format correspondence, memos, reports, and spreadsheets. Help track and compile documentation for projects (work orders, daily reports, permits, certificates of insurance, etc..) as directed. Clear verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, consistent with company policy. Ability to organize, multi-task, manage time, and follow directions with minimal repeated directions. Support the preparation of proposals, bid documents, or project submittals by gathering and organizing information. Coordinate basic scheduling tasks, such as meetings, conference calls, or field crew check ins, as requested. Monitor office supplies and place orders as approved by management. Assist with scanning, copying, faxing, and binding documents. Support special projects and perform other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisors or office management. Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Prior office or administrative experience Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent tools. Basic file management (saving, organizing, and retrieving documents). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document handling.
