Company Description Forever Families Through Adoption (FFTA) is a, not-for-profit adoption placement agency and resource center authorized in New York and Connecticut. Founded and staffed by social workers, attorneys, adoptees, birth parents and adoptive parents, FFTA is committed to ensuring every child, regardless of background or challenges, has the opportunity to grow up in a loving and secure home. The organization provides support to all members of the adoption triad, both domestically and internationally, with a mission to create forever families. Role Description This is a full-time or part time, in office role for an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to the organization by performing clerical tasks, managing correspondence, assisting with day-to-day executive administrative activities, and maintaining organized and accurate records. The role also involves communicating with clients, staff, and external stakeholders with professionalism and care, contributing to the smooth operation of FFTA's mission-driven initiatives. Qualifications Strong Administrative Assistance and Executive Director Assistance skills Proficiency in Clerical Skills, including file management, data entry, and recordkeeping Communication and Phone Etiquette abilities to interact with diverse individuals Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and other administrative tools Ability to work independently and efficiently Experience in the nonprofit, child welfare or adoption field is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred NON-SMOKER
