JOB TITLE

ACTIVITIES
SECRETARY-Wilton High School
JOB PURPOSE
Support special activities at Wilton High School by effectively managing activities and facilities calendars, maintaining the Activity Fund, and overseeing all bookkeeping related to the Fund
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma Post-secondary training/education in related area of one year secretarial experience Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relations, scheduling, computer capabilities, and bookkeeping Well organized Adaptability, flexibility, positive attitude Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents and advisors Some familiarity with student activities Such additions and alternatives to above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable
REPORTS TO
Assistant Principal
RESPONSIBILITY/ACCOUNTABILITY
Responsible for quality and quantity of own work as assigned by administrator
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages high school Activities Fund, including daily bookkeeping and monthly reconciliations for WPS business office. Handles all inquiries regarding facilities reservations. Records and publicizes building use schedule and calendar. Manages and maintains records for clubs and activities. Provides assistance in main office functions as necessary. Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as expected of certified teachers. Perform other related duties as required or requested by supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal office physical demands; ability to work in busy front office environment; ability to work at desk for long periods of time often in a sedentary position; ability to file required documents in a timely and organized fashion.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
183 day position
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the employee's immediate supervisor and/or administrator in accordance with agreement between the Wilton Board of Education and UPSEU
