Are you organized, detail-oriented, and excited to support programs that celebrate and advance Phi Beta Kappa's mission? The Phi Beta Kappa Society seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Data and Administrative Assistant to support the Development, Events & Awards team. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves organization, systems, and data. The type of person who gets excited about creating order, building new processes, improving workflows, developing SOPs, and helping make data work for us. This role is essential to the day-to-day operations of the department and will provide administrative, database, and project coordination support across fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, events, and internal operations. This position is ideal for an early-career professional interested in nonprofit operations, development, events, and data management.

Passionate about advancing Phi Beta Kappa's nonpartisan mission to champion the liberal arts and sciences, combined with a keen interest in news, books, culture, and politics. Why It Matters This role is essential to the success of Phi Beta Kappa's Development, Events & Awards team and serves as a key operational partner across the department's work. The Data and Administrative Assistant helps ensure that projects, donor engagement efforts, events, and internal operations run smoothly and efficiently by providing strong administrative coordination, data management, and organizational support. As a collaborative member of a small and fast-paced team, this position helps create the infrastructure that allows the department to execute high-impact programs, strengthen relationships with members and supporters, and advance the Society's mission. From managing critical data and tracking systems to supporting event logistics and team operations, this role contributes directly to the effectiveness, responsiveness, and overall success of the department. The anticipated salary is in the range of $50,000-60,000 depending upon experience. The Phi Beta Kappa Society offers excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement.
