Hourly/Non-exempt Overview Saint Katharine Drexel Parish is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to assist with administrative and communications professional support. Job Responsibilities Establish and maintain up-to-date filing systems, both hard copy and electronic. Compose, proof, correct and distribute letters, memos, forms, documents, emails, faxes and bulletins. Order office supplies and assist in ordering supplies needed for all special activities. Schedule volunteers for offices and various ministries in the parish. Maintain a calendar of office and liturgical events, staff vacations, etc. Schedule and maintain the Pastoral Ministry program for the parish, including recruiting pastoral ministers and assuring they are trained and approved through Virtus. Participate in special parish events (liturgical, social, administrative, etc.), taking a lead when so instructed by the pastor (administrator) Work with pastor/business manager on projects and communications. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred. Experience as Administrative Assistant or Office Assistant required. Previous church employment/experience extremely helpful. Excellent communications skills both written and oral. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Strong organization skills. Knowledge of website maintenance, Parishsoft, volgistics and flocknote a plus.
