Career Opportunity:
The Administrative Assistant for Operations is responsible for providing the day-to-day administrative support to the operations department, administering processes which include but are not limited to creating and distributing shift work schedules for the operating areas, tracking and reviewing the timekeeping process for the operating areas, and providing general administrative support. The daily functions of the Mill Administrative Assistant include: Tracking and maintaining hourly timekeeping process, system, and time submission for payroll. Creating and distributing weekly shift work schedules for the operating areas. Manage, report, and communicate Mill On-Call Teams and processes. Back up for tracking required training and maintaining training records for all employees. Manage event planning for operating areas as needed. Provide administrative support in building presentations, documents, spreadsheets, etc. for department managers as needed for report building, employee communication, or team meetings. Executing special projects and assignments as needed. Adhering to safety and quality programs for the facility. All other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
3 years of experience in executive level administrative support functions, preferably supporting manufacturing environment. Minimum 8 years of related experience.
Other Qualifications:
The Administrative Assistant for Operations position requires strong interpersonal and organization skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including production workforce, management workforce, corporate management, and potential candidates. The position further requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good judgment and decision-making ability. The Administrative Assistant for Operations must be a self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential information. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
