Royal Palm Academy, a joyful and thriving independent Catholic PK-8 school in North Naples, Florida, is seeking a versatile, proactive, and dependable Lunch Service Coordinator to oversee and coordinate our daily school lunch program. Unlike a traditional cafeteria cooking role, this position focuses on vendor management, rapid and efficient food distribution, compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working around children, and possesses excellent logistical skills. This position reports to the COO, who oversees Operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Vendor & Catering Management Act as the primary point of contact for our third-party catering partner. Coordinate and manage the daily delivery schedule, ensuring all prepared meals arrive on time, at proper temperatures, and accurate to ordering counts. Monitor vendor performance, quality control, and dietary restriction accuracy (e.g., allergies, gluten-free, vegetarian options). 2. Daily Food Operations & Distribution Organize and distribute prepared lunches to the student body within a strict, high-tempo daily time window. Coordinate, set up, and manage prepackaged morning snacks for students upon their arrival at school. Maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming service line for students and staff. 3. Health, Safety & Cleanliness Partner closely with the Facilities & Maintenance team to ensure all kitchen, storage, and dining areas are kept meticulously clean and organized. Ensure full compliance with all Florida health codes and sanitation regulations regarding food handling, holding temperatures, and storage. Maintain accurate daily temperature logs and compliance documentation.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Experience in food service management, catering coordination, or school cafeteria operations is a plus but not required.
Logistical Skills:
Ability to orchestrate fast-paced food distribution smoothly and calmly under tight time constraints.
Interpersonal Skills:
Warm, friendly demeanor with a "customer service" mindset. Must interact positively with students, parents, faculty, and external vendors.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and move quickly across campus facilities.
Background Check:
Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening (standard for Florida private school employees). Position Details Part-time, 10-month, hourly position.
