The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental / Oral Surgery clinic setting and possess a strong understanding of Dental / Oral Surgery. This role requires proficiency in medical documentation, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. The Oral Surgery Assistant will work closely with dental professionals to provide high-quality patient care and ensure efficient operation in a safe and caring environment Duties Assist Oral Surgeon in IV sedation procedures. BLS required Conduct patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations. Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system, utilizing WINOMS or similar platforms. Perform X-rays and EMR medical records. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data security. Collaborate with the dental team to provide treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Educate patients on oral health practices and preventive care measures. • Requirements Graduate from an accredited Dental Assistant Program. Valid state certification as an EFDA/Dental Assistant. Experience in a dental clinic environment is preferred. Familiarity dental management systems is advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient interaction. A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and improving clinical skills.
