MAJOR FUNCTIONS
The office assistant will work under the direction of the Public Works Director. The assistant will perform tasks including scanning and uploading documents, maintaining and updating excel sheets, drafting letters & emails, answer phone calls, and any addition task the planner deems appropriate.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Skilled in using excel for data organization and reporting
- Maintains a high standard of written communication with attention to detail and a sharp eye for spelling, grammar & punctuation.
- Interpret maps, site, and building plans and specifications.
- Land use zoning, variance, special exception, and other development applications.
- Perform tasks associated with Comprehensive Plan, Land Development Regulations, and their preparation and implementation.
- Create Approval Letters for Permits
- Input Permits & PZE's into System
- Business License
- Answer phones
- Prepare clear, professional and concise technical documents, letters, reports, and email correspondence.
- Prepare reports for the Planning Commission, Mayor, and the City Council.
- Attend Planning & Council meetings on needed basis.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse interest groups (for example: developers, property owners, elected officials, staff, community representatives, the public, etc.)
- Update and maintain project excel sheets
- Invoicing
- Tape Measure Skills/Knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a valid Florida driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Proficient in
