Job Description
About us Do you love working with children and want to join a small team of hard-working, professional colleagues? Bright Eyes Kids is seeking a new optometric assistant to help us empower our patients through excellent vision care. Tasks include performing vision pre-testing, assisting doctors in the exam rooms, restocking contact lens trials, navigating electronic health records, answering phones, and scheduling appointments. If you are the kind of person who can juggle paperwork, computer use, and patient care with a smile on your face, you should apply with us! Excellent written and verbal communication skills, friendly personality and happy "phone voice" are essential. The right person must love working with kids, be genuinely positive, and have the ability to think on their feet. Willingness to learn and work with an experienced team is important. We prefer 1+ years of front desk or optometric technician experience. A cover letter or description of your experience or interests is definitely a plus. Part-time option (20-30hrs) will be primarily Tues, Wed, Thurs and some Saturdays at our New Tampa office. Full time options (31-38hrs) would include Mon or Fri plus some Saturdays in our Westchase office. Initial training will be at our Westchase office. You must be able to work occasionally at either location. Benefits include paid time off and employers who care about you.
