Job Summary The Legal Assistant is responsible for the overall management of personal injury legal operations for the cases assigned to them. In this role, your primary goal is to develop and manage each case to maximize the benefit for our clients. You will oversee the case from the Investigation stage to Pre-Demand phase. Must be able to gather, analyze and research information and documents and manage a high-volume caseload. Key Responsibilities Consistent client updates with proper documentation Verify police reports Confirm and verify client's biographic information and emergency contact Obtain insurance information or defendant's information to file claims Sent out LOR (Letters of Representation) to Liability, UM and health insurance Copies of client's health insurance Set up subrogation claim and client's ID Confirm client is set up for treatment Confirm insurance coverage Acceptance of liability Read liability and UM dec pages Request ER records Obtain written authorization from client to settle for the top offer MedPay verification Prepare Pre-Demand packages Basic Requirements and Qualifications 1+ years of legal assistant experience (we train and promote within) Customer service and call center experience a plus High School Diploma or GED Bilingual in English and Spanish (this is a must) Knowledge of personal injury software, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Dropbox and understanding of cloud-based software and systems Your characteristics: Bilingual- Spanish and English Thrives in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills Willing to learn Exhibits leadership qualities Detail-oriented Superb phone etiquette Highly motivated Knowledgeable Problem solver Ability to multi-task Takes directions well and able to execute Work on a timely deadline Excellent communicator Team player and has a "can-do" attitude Great attitude/friendly Benefits Paid time off Flexible work schedule Wellness room onsite 401k matching Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance
