JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description and Assigned Responsibilities of the
FAMILY SELF SUFFICIENCY COORDINATOR
Note:

OVERVIEW
Maintains the full caseload of Family Self Sufficiency Participants Maintains waiting lists and tracks escrow earnings Posts interest, new escrow earnings and other relevant details to the FSS ledger Balances the FSS Ledger monthly Keeps bulletin boards in the lobby updated Tracks available resources in the local area to benefit our program participants Counsels with participants on a continual basis to cause accountability Informs Financial Director of shortages in the escrow account so that appropriate deposits of funds will be made Prepares journal vouchers Maintains journals, printouts and other backup documentation to support escrow earnings and disbursements Posts Reexamination and Redetermination changes Runs FSS reports Deletes Vacated tenants Coordinates disbursement with the payment center Sends appropriate letters and notices, i.e. (One Year and Sixty Day letters) Mails FSS Progress reports in March and September Does necessary follow-ups on FSS Progress report responses Sends escrow account reports twice a year in January and July Writes the FSS newsletter three times a year in February, June and October Initiates FSS enrollment process as openings occur Attends outside meetings Looks into possible workshops to be hosted at our facility Fulfils the obligations of reporting requirement for SEMAP Ensures that the MTCS data on FSS is being accurately reported Assist other staff members as needed in all functions as workload increases
ANY SECONDARY DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Keeping office area neat and files must be put away neatly at the close of each business day • When files are purged from active file cabinets in work area and are moved to file room they should be filed immediately to avoid chaos and loss of files.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
40 hours weekly inclusive of the daily 1 hour paid lunch and two paid fifteen minute breaks. Sick and Annual leave start at 10 paid days each subject to accrual. Leave is not advanced; and for every 2 years served an additional day of sick and annual leave is added; also subject to accrual until a maximum of 19 days each are accumulated. All Annual Leave should be scheduled in advance. Sick Leave should be scheduled in advance whenever possible.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIAL SKILLS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB
Minimum acceptable education: High School Diploma
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
Must maintain records in an acceptable format that is well organized, neat, and accurate. Payments must be accurate and justified at all times. Must maintain a very low percentage of errors. All processes/duties must be completed timely and with minimal supervision.
