Job Description

Position:
Administrative Assistant Pay range: $18.00 - $24.00 Reports to:
Vice President Summary:
As a key member of our team, you'll be the voice and face of our practice ! You will drive our daily operations by managing high-energy communications, seamlessly coordinating patient referrals in our EMR, and welcoming new patients through our pre-registration process. Working side-by-side with our physicians, you'll also provide vital front-desk support at our West Des Moines and Ankeny locations - ensuring every patient enjoys a smooth, professional check-in from the moment they walk through the door.
Professional Contributions:
Act as the vital link between our patients and care team by managing high-energy communications across phone, text, and email. Work side-by-side with clinical providers to handle essential correspondence and ensure smooth, professional communication with patients and partners. Maintain the integrity of our digital office by expertly digitizing records into the EMR, ensuring every patient's history is audit-ready and accurate. Take the lead in resolving patient billing inquiries, collaborating with our billing partners to provide clarity and peace of mind for our families. Guide new patients through their first steps with us, managing referrals and pre-registration to ensure a seamless entry into our care. Optimize the daily flow of the clinic by monitoring and reviewing patient schedules to minimize wait times and maximize provider efficiency. Ensure the fiscal health of the practice by accurately managing demographics, insurance verification, and co-payment collection with professional precision. Support the complete patient journey by providing vital aftercare information and performing high-level administrative functions as needed. What you'll bring to the

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Teams and ability to quickly learn new software systems, such as EMR systems.
