Job Description

Barr-Nunn Transportation LLC, a premier truckload carrier in business for over 43 years, is currently hiring for an Admin Assistant in our Operations department to join our team in Granger, IA. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant with a focus in our Safety department. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, investigate and help with the settlement of auto liability claims. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include accident documentation, gathering and preservation of key information, rotation of after hours on-call phone, and preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to stay organized while handling a variety of tasks. If you have previous experience in an admin support capacity, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Admin Assistant should ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day operation of our office.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:30pm Salary based on experience
Responsibilities:
Answer and direct phone calls Investigation and settlement of Auto Liability claims Accident documentation Gather and preserve key information Develop and maintain a filing system After Hours On-Call Phone Rotation (1 Week every 4th Week)
Education/Experience:
High school diploma Experience in office setting highly preferred Experience in admin support role preferred
Skills:
Excellent time management skills Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant preferred
