Occasional evening hours required for Board of Trustees meetings Join Our Team Ringgold County Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and professional Credentialing & Administrative Generalist to support hospital administration, Human Resources, Medical Staff Services, and the Board of Trustees. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations across multiple departments while supporting our employees, medical staff, executive leadership, and the board. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys a diverse workload, values confidentiality, has excellent communication skills, and takes pride in providing exceptional support to others. Key Responsibilities Executive & Administrative Support Provide ongoing administrative support to the CEO and administrative leadership team. Coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, manage phone messages, and assist with incoming and outgoing correspondence. Prepare meeting materials, record minutes, maintain documentation, and complete follow-up activities for administrative meetings. Support administrative processes, including PolicyStat management and assisting leaders with system utilization. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive organizational information. Medical Staff Credentialing & Support Coordinate credentialing processes for all Medical Staff, including initial appointments and reappointments. Complete affiliation verifications and requests for current and former medical staff. Prepare materials for Medical Staff meetings, including agendas, meeting packets, and supporting documentation. Record meeting minutes and provide administrative support to the Medical Staff leadership team. Board of Trustees Support Serve as administrative support for the Board of Trustees. Prepare Board meeting agendas, compile materials, record minutes, and assist with follow-up items. Support Board members with BoardEffect access and account assistance. Act as a resource to ensure Board records and documentation are maintained appropriately. Human Resources Support Assist with recruitment activities including posting open positions, conducting applicant phone screenings, contacting references, and coordinating pre-employment requirements. Complete background checks and verify employment and employee records for accuracy. Assist new hires through the onboarding process, including review of policies, procedures, benefits information, and required employment paperwork. Enter and maintain employee information and updates within HR systems. Support employee record management and general HR administrative functions. Previous experience in healthcare administration, human resources, credentialing, executive support, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new software systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Services provided by our 16-bed critical access hospital have expanded far beyond inpatient care. We now provide same-day outpatient surgeries, infusion therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, physical therapy, sleep studies, medical imaging, and more. The hospital also owns and operates the Ringgold County Ambulance Service and the Mount Ayr Medical Clinic. We also regularly host specialty outpatient clinics, so our patients have access to the specialist care they need, when and where they need it. Mount Ayr Medical Clinic is our rural health clinic located within Ringgold County Hospital. The current facilities were built in 2009 and features modern, large, and spacious. The physicians at Mount Ayr Medical Clinic treat patients of all ages between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The clinic also functions much like an urgent care facility, treating those without life-threatening symptoms but who require immediate medical attention. Community Mount Ayr is located near the Iowa - Missouri border and is the county seat of Ringgold County, Iowa. Surrounding communities include Diagonal, Kellerton, Tingley, Ellston, Beaconsfield, Redding, Delphos, Maloy, Sun Valley Lake, and Benton. Ringgold County is a popular destination for hunters and anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Local parks, museums, and lakes provide a wide range of recreational opportunities. In the Mount Ayr area, you can fish, boat, cross-country ski, run trails, and more.
