Job Description

Schedule:
This position will average around 32 hours a week per year. April 17 through October 31, working Monday through Thursday (off on Fridays) November 1 through April 15, working Monday through Friday In March and April from 8-12 on Saturdays (team alternates this coverage, working around 3-5 Saturdays)

In office, Pella, IA Position Overview Welgaard CPAs & Advisors is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Client Managers and their clients. This role is an integral part of our team and helps ensure smooth communication, accurate document handling, and efficient day-to-day operations in a fast-paced public accounting environment. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, comfortable with technology, and motivated to learn new skills and processes while supporting both our clients and internal team members. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and client service support to Client Managers and clients Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, and secure client portals Send, receive, organize, and track client documents and information Assist with client requests and ensure timely follow-up and resolution Maintain accurate and organized electronic files and records Learn and follow workflows, processes, and firm procedures Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines, particularly during peak seasons Provide general administrative support as needed Qualifications & Skills Previous administrative or office experience preferred (experience in public accounting or professional services is a plus) Comfortable with technology and learning new software, systems, and processes Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining confidentiality Work Environment Fast-paced public accounting firm with seasonal deadlines Collaborative, team-focused culture
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
