Experience:
Required � One (1) year experience working as a secretary, receptionist or office assistant greeting guests and answering calls and two (2) years' experience in a customer service environment. Preferred � One (1) year experience working as a secretary, receptionist or office assistant greeting guests and answering calls and two (2) years' experience in a customer service environment, preferably in a public-school setting or office.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervises and directs usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smooth running office 2. Supervises and directs office personnel in keeping student records as shall be required by the District and the State 3. Supervises and directs the daily/weekly staff attendance log 4. Supervises and directs the receipt and routing of incoming phone calls 5. Supervises and directs office personnel greets visitors courteously, determines their needs, and directs or escorts visitors to proper person 6. Supervises and directs office personnel maintaining an organized work station 7. Supervises and directs the receipt, sorting and distribution of incoming mail 8. Supervises and directs office personnel in assisting teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested 9. Supervises and oversees office/teacher supplies inventories 10. Supervises and provides training of office staff in efficient use of office equipment and software 11. Supervises and directs routing of material including correspondence, reports, notices, etc. 12. Supervises and directs regular filing system and filing of materials based upon the practice of the District 13. Supervises duties of and assigns work of office clerks/volunteers 14. Supervises and directs record keeping for student registration/transfer 15. Supervises and directs incoming monies and preparation of deposits to the Business Office 16. Supervises and directs the gathering and organizing of pertinent data as needed, and oversees it is compiled into a usable format 17. Monitors and trains office staff in the maintenance of such student records as shall be required 18. Develops and maintains procedural handbook for secretarial/clerical responsibilities 19. Supervises and directs the scheduling of appointments and arrangements for conferences and interviews 20. Supervises and directs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the building 21. Facilitates the coordination of student records between food services, business office and the student records clerk 22. Assists the administration in the evaluation, selection, recommendation for employment or dismissal of office secretarial/clerical staff 23. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal.

Technical:
Uses the district email system, Google platforms, Microsoft Office, and the district's attendance system; Must have strong typing and computer skills.

Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, students, businesses and community. Must have strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills; and a strong sense of teamwork. Must be able to cope with deadline pressures; make difficult decisions that impact the organization in a positive sense; work harmoniously with the community, students, parents, staff, and administration, etc.; and have strong customer service skills; communicate effectively with students, parents and staff; exhibit sound judgment in dealing with people; and follow directives given by Administration. Must also be a creative problem solver; and emphathatic, humanistic and open-minded.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Manual Dexterity:
Work requires definite skilled and accurate physical operations requiring some closely coordination performance.
Physical Effort:
Work requires handling average weight materials or equipment, but not for sustained periods. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Some exposure to definitely disagreeable elements may exist, i.e., temperature changes, use of steps/stairs, walking long distances throughout the building, etc.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Full-time, 12-month (260 days), non-exempt Union position
SALARY RANGE
Minimal $18.54, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $2.10 per hour through KSA's (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities). As defined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
