at Guardianship and Advocacy Commission in Hines, Illinois, United States Job Description Essential Functions Under general supervision, performs highly responsible secretarial and administrative work for the Guardianship Regional Administrator. Serves as interpreter for Spanish-speaking individuals. Performs research, reporting and liaison functions. Serves as a central point of contact for callers and visitors, coordinates travel and schedules and manages mail processing. Prepares and processes reports and documents and coordinates record retention. Translates functions/procedures into Spanish for individuals who cannot speak or read English. Confers with Guardianship Regional Administrator regarding development and improvement of clerical procedures regarding division reports and procedures. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to two years of secretarial/business college, or completion of high school and two years of related office experience, or two years of independent business experience. Requires skill and ability to type accurately at 30 WPM . Requires the ability to speak and write Spanish at a colloquial skill level. Preferred Qualifications Prefers two years of experience in demonstrative knowledge of office practices, procedures and programs. Prefers two years of experience of establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships. Prefers two years of experience in a customer service role. Prefers experience working on a call center or experience answering a large amount of phone calls. Prefers ability to use commonly used manual and automated office equipment. Prefers advanced proficiency using Excel or similar spreadsheet software. Prefers advanced proficiency using Microsoft Word or a similar word processing software.
