Job Description

Job Overview As an Office Administrator and Assistant to the Funeral Director, you will be responsible for completing day-to-day administrative tasks to support our office and the families we service. Primary responsibilities include answering phones, responding to emails, help with ordering funerals, help to facilitate funeral home arrangements and accounts payable support. Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented and has a deep knowledge of customer service best practices. If you have exceptional organizational skills and draw energy from being part of a team, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to high quality patron service and keep the business' operations running smoothly. Duties Manage emails, letters, phone calls, meeting requests and other forms of correspondence Track and replace office supplies as necessary Check data accuracy in orders and invoices Support bookkeeping procedures for the company Update databases and records for financial information and other data Maintain and update family and customer records Communicate important feedback from families internally Assist colleagues whenever there is an opportunity to do so Assist with other miscellaneous tasks Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1-3 years of office or administrative experience preferred Must be organized and goal oriented with a positive attitude Superior attention to detail is a must Computer experience is essential Hands on experience with MS Office (MS Excel and Word in particular) Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent customer service skills Ability to multitask while providing excellent customer service A team player with high level of dedication
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
