Project Administrator Overview The Project Administrator supports large-scale construction projects by managing documentation, tracking project changes, and coordinating information between the site and the corporate project team. This role is based on active construction sites and focuses heavily on accurate data entry, document control, and administrative support within a construction trailer environment. Responsibilities Report daily to an assigned construction site and work primarily from a construction trailer Partner with corporate project teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date Track and document project activities, including: Progress updates Change orders Safety observations Material inventory and damages Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems with proper version control Perform accurate data entry using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Support document control processes, including distributing and updating project documentation Assist with tracking RFIs, submittals, and other key project records Communicate professionally with field teams and corporate staff to resolve documentation questions Provide general administrative support, including reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence Follow all site safety protocols and collaborate with the safety team as needed Essential Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail Excellent organization and time management skills Experience in administrative support or document control Ability to work on an active construction site environment Clear and professional communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction administration or project-based roles Familiarity with construction management software Previous experience in the solar or renewable energy industry Customer service experience supporting internal or external stakeholders Why Work Here? You will work primarily in a construction trailer on an active outdoor construction site, coordinating closely with on-site teams and a safety manager who also has access to the trailer. The schedule follows a day shift, with typical hours anticipated around 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and requires flexibility to be on-site as project activities dictate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peoria, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
