Athletic DirectorGENERAL DUTIES
To assist in maintaining high quality services for staff, students, parents, and community members who utilize the services assigned to this position. To assist immediate supervisor in carrying out the duties assigned to that position. To strive for positive and collegial public relations with the staff, students, parents and community members. To maintain confidentiality in all areas assigned to this position.QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have earned a high school diploma. Clerical experience or training preferred. Experience in a school setting preferred.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Possess the ability to speak clearly and be understood by others. Possess the ability to write legibly. Possess the ability and have received the training to effectively operate a computer, using a PC platform, at a level which would allow a candidate to pass a test administered for this position. Possess the ability to demonstrate effective telephone skills and the ability to operate a modern phone system. Demonstrate the ability to calmly address individuals using the services offered by the position. Possess an acceptable attendance history in prior positions and demonstrate the ability to meet the daily attendance requirements of the designated position. Possess a successful work history, supported by references, in a work setting similar to the position for which the candidate is applying. Demonstrate the ability to practice confidentiality with sensitive information. Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills to assist in establishing a positive climate in the work environment.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Sell P.E. gym suits Set up and assist in athletic sports physicals for athletes Certify student eligibility on a weekly basis Order athletic contest and late athletic buses/vans Process paperwork for athletic officials for home contests and tournaments Process clerical duties for Driver Education Program during the school year and Summer Driver Education and payroll Prepare monthly bus report Keep track of scores for each sport Monitor P.E. lock combination records Assemble and type athletic sports program schedule Process athletic contracts for all home contests to schools for Fall, Winter & Spring Process P.E. non-dress referrals on students on a daily basis. Prepare athletic budget request Process purchase orders for athletic office Process and maintain records for athletic tournaments Order athletic fan buses when necessary and types log for students Process and maintain officials' pay record for games worked Process Imprest Check Requests for athletics (entry fees, etc.) Process payroll sheets for athletic workers for contests worked Keep towel count report monthly/annually Supervise student aides working in athletic office Assist booster club when needed And other items that may arise.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
