Job Overview St. Paul United Church of Christ Church is a welcoming and active congregation serving the Waterloo community. We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and friendly Office Coordinator to support our church staff, congregation, and daily office operations. The Office Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the church office and provides administrative support to pastoral staff while helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple responsibilities, and supporting a mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities Office Administration & Reception Answer phones, emails, and greet visitors. Process mail and deliveries. Maintain office supplies and equipment. Assist volunteers working in the church office. Communications & Publications Prepare weekly worship bulletins, inserts, and service materials. Create newsletters, calendars, flyers, and congregational communications. Assist with website updates and social media content. Prepare certificates and records for baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and memberships. Database & Records Management Maintain church records and membership databases. Record baptisms, marriages, deaths, and membership changes. Assist with contribution records and financial data entry. Serve as a backup for payroll functions. Staff & Ministry Support Provide administrative support to pastoral staff. Coordinate volunteer schedules and ministry support functions. Previous administrative or office experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with church management software or databases is a plus. Why Join Our Team? Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
