Job Description

GreatLand Home Health Services ranks among the top 10 health care agencies in Illinois when it comes to home health services. We provide numerous services in the comfort of the client's home. Each program is designed to provide quality home care that is tailored to the unique needs of our clients and families under a comprehensive plan of care established in conjunction with our healthcare team and their primary physician. Our relationship with major hospitals like Northwestern, and University of Chicago has helped us work with some of the best health care professionals throughout Illinois. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This position will be based out of our Indiana office. Requirements High school graduate; advanced education desirable Current Administrative experience, preferably for home health or other healthcare settings. Knowledge of medical terminology or a general medical background desirable. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Computer literate Exceptional communication and organizational skills. Adaptable to working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
Retrieves and routes incoming calls in a professional manner and provides customer service assistance as appropriate. Order and track various office and medical supplies. Verify patient insurance benefits coverage to ensure medical procedures are covered. Data entry of patient benefit information in the insurance system and verify accuracy. Run weekly reports to ensure timely delivery and follow-up on supply orders. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
