CLASSIFICATION
Operation Support Staff•Level 3 PAY
GRADE 10
$17.69•$18.79 hourly (based upon education/experience)
LENGTH:
8 hours daily/205 days yearly
REPORTS TO
Building Principal Fully benefitted to include: medical, dental, vision, life insurances; sick and personal days as well as state retirement (PERF).
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma. Three years job experience or graduation from a recognized school of secretarial or bookkeeping skills and two years job experience; or two years successful employment within this district or in another district of comparable size.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares daily attendance and early dismissal sheets. Meets and interacts daily with staff, students, parents and general public on school related/student matters. Assists with obtaining student records and enrolling new students, as well as sending records to requesting schools. Updates student attendance records. Maintains student disciplinary files. Organizes and maintains office filing systems, files correspondence and other records. Notifies parents/guardians of student absences. Answers phone inquiries from parents/guardians about student attendance and early dismissal. Administers first aid and assists students in the health clinic under the direction of the school nurse and follows related policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal and/or other designee.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
