Job Description

Job Summary The Housing Assignments Clerk position will provide a high level of administrative support and business processes for the Central Assignments Office (University Residences-Administration). Duties include data entry of student records and auditing reports to ensure the accuracy of data within the housing management system. In addition, this position will provide clerical support in a student-centered environment and prioritize responsibilities. Maintain the highest level of customer service. The position is responsible for understanding the housing contract and the ability to explain practices, policies, and procedures to reach an agreement. This position is responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to hall clerks and student staff within the Central Assignments Office. The position requires a broad knowledge of the operational systems and practices within University Residences. This position is responsible for managing calendars and communicating through email, phone calls, or chat.
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or GED Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information professionally. Strong organizational skills, effective problem-solving ability, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to collaborate successfully. Ability to multi-task while enduring stressful seasonal workloads. Communicate professionally with students, staff, and alumni. Must have high work standards and productivity, strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and customers. Must be able to build and maintain relationships with students, alumni, and staff to help expedite processes through various Purdue systems. Proven critical thinking skills based on experience.
