Job Description

Treatment/Insurance Coordinator We are seeking a warm, welcoming candidate to join our team as a Treatment/Insurance Coordinator. As an essential member of our front office team, you will play a key role in making every patient experience a positive one. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting patients as they arrive at the office Managing the check-in and check-out process Communicating effectively with the clinic team to notify them of patients' arrival, and following up to schedule the next appointment Creating new patient records and update patient charts (name change, address, phone number, insurance, etc.) Keeping patients informed of expecting wait time if the doctor is behind schedule Educating patients about treatment plans and reviewing fees and financial obligations Scheduling and confirming appointments Inform the doctor and staff of any schedule changes, and work to fill no show/cancellation appointments Answering phone calls, e-mails/texts, and faxes Verifying dental insurance eligibility and benefits Ensuring pre-authorizations are sent and approved for necessary procedures prior to patients' treatment visits Maintaining the cleanliness of the front office and waiting area Assisting with administrative duties Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experienced in a dental office preferred 1 year of experience in scheduling and administrative support in a dental setting required Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive, even-tempered, and a "Can Do" attitude Able to receive coaching and feedback constructively Commitment to upholding HIPAA regulations and ensuring patient confidentiality
