]. ROLE of the
POSITION
The Lee Business School and the Marketing and International Business Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invite applications for a Lee Assistant Professor of Marketing, with an expected start date in the Fall of 2027. In 2012, the Ted and Doris Lee Family pledged a $15 million naming gift for the Lee Business School. Part of that gift includes the endowment of ten Lee Scholar professorships across the Lee Business School. The Lee Professor will demonstrate excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service. The Lee Professorship designation for this position provides support in the form of a stipend and additional travel/research funds. Preference will be given to Advanced/Senior Assistant Professor rank. The department is looking for candidates whose research areas include fields such as marketing strategy, branding, digital marketing, or marketing analytics, with strong quantitative skills, but other fields will be considered. Requirements of the position include conducting high-quality research in marketing that leads to refereed publications and supports the maintenance of AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status at a Carnegie R1 institution. The successful candidate is expected to sustain an active and productive research agenda consistent with these standards. The candidate will teach marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including MBA and potentially doctoral programs. The position also requires meaningful service contributions to the department, school, university, community, and the marketing profession. Opportunities may exist to contribute to executive education and professional certificate programs. PROFILE of the COLLEGE As one of the largest schools at UNLV with nearly 5,000 undergraduate students, 500 graduate students, more than 140 faculty and staff, and 26,000+ alumni, Lee Business School offers 10 undergraduate majors, 12 minors, and seven graduate degree programs. The MBA program has ranked in the top 100 part-time MBA programs for the past five years according to U.S. News and World Report. Lee Business School is among the top 2 percent of business colleges and schools worldwide to hold international dual accreditation in business and accounting by AACSB International. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Ph.D. in Marketing (or a closely related field) from an accredited college or university by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. The successful candidate will demonstrate a record of top-quality publications in elite, top-tier marketing journals, with an ongoing pipeline, as well as teaching effectiveness at undergraduate and/or graduate level.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Research interests that strengthen the department's existing focus areas, particularly in marketing strategy, digital marketing and AI, experiential marketing, marketing analytics, MarTech, or related fields. Demonstrated ability or interest in teaching marketing courses at multiple levels (undergraduate, graduate, and potentially Ph.D.). Experience or interest in engaging with faculty, industry partners, marketing professionals, or regulators through theoretically grounded applied research, outreach, executive education, or professional certificate programs.
