Job Description
Full time:
M-F 8:00am to 4:30 pm Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Palliative Care and Dementia GUIDE, performs a broad range of office functions to facilitate the smooth and efficient operation of Palliative Care and GUIDE.How You'll Contribute :
Respond to telephone inquiries regarding Palliative Care and GUIDE. Coordinate daily operational activities and schedules of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and supportive clinical staff Educate patients, family members, referral sources and others on services provided by Care Dimensions by handling telephone inquiries with program-specific knowledge, efficiency, and compassion. Register patient in electronic medical record, verify insurance and eligibility, and schedule appointments. Provide administrative support to providers including patient assignment, scheduling patient visits, and making follow-up phone calls to patients and families. Effectively collaborate with personnel to achieve timely response to service requests. Complete administrative tasks efficiently, accurately and with attention to detail. Prepare and/or edits document such as letters, reports, forms, policies, charts, presentations, and spreadsheets using MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and other appropriate software. What You willBring:
High school diploma required, Associate's degree preferred. Minimum of one year of experience in a medical facility or medical office setting. Demonstrated skill in managing communications and coordinating activities in a multi-disciplinary setting. Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook and agency specific systems and databases required. Proven customer service skills dealing with a health care service provider. Ability to exercise independent judgment including the handling of highly confidential medical information. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function as a member of a team. #INDOTHER
