Community Outreach Support Position Assist the Tools for School program Summer employment from June through end of August Assist in managing supply inventory, collections, orders, and distributions for children impacted by homelessness in Massachusetts. Work with the Community Outreach Director to maintain the in-house inventory system as backpacks and supplies are received and distributed. This includes monitoring supply levels and communicating when restocking is needed. Enter inventory information for in-kind donations into the eTapestry database and assist with donor acknowledgments and mailings. Coordinate volunteer projects, including organizing supplies and preparing necessary project components. Support data entry for the incoming backpacks requests and outgoing backpacks to schools and nonprofit partners. Support backpack drop-offs, donation pickups, and attend events related to the Tools for School program as needed. Assist with front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors and answering phones. Provide general office support. Help close the office at 5:00 PM as needed.

Position Details:

This is an hourly paid position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week in the community room for the Tools for School program. A flexible schedule is available. The role involves physical work, including lifting and transporting boxes over 20 pounds. Additional opportunities to support the organization with special projects and planning may be available on an as-needed basis. Reliable transportation is required, as the office is not accessible via public transit.
