POSITION STATUS
This is a part-time, grant funded, MCCC unit professional position without benefits, not to exceed 18.5 hours per week.
SALARY:
Hiring salary is $36.55/hour
STATEMENT OF DUTIES
The SPC works closely with the
DDS/CTACH
Director to implement the Department of Developmental Services Certificate Program. They perform a variety of program duties. The SPC is responsible for, but not limited to, communicating program information to students and the Director, assists in tracking the program's outcomes, maintaining the contract's outcome requirements and providing monthly/annual reporting to the Director. Along with the Director they process, update and maintain

contract policies, procedures, and workflow. Additionally, the SPC will assist in the recruitment, advisement and registration of students and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, update and maintain program policies, procedures, internal controls, consistent with the DDS contract. Works closely with the Director to recruit students through the DDS Southeast Regional Office, assists in advising and registering students into program courses, Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the professional growth of students while fostering commitment to direct service excellence. Compile student information for billing purposes for approval by the DDS Director. In conjunction with the DDS Director, monitor contract expenditures for reconciliation. Ensure accuracy of contract reporting requirements. Communicate DDS related policies and procedures with appropriate college departments . Along with the DDS Director, confers with various state agency personnel. Participate in various state-wide training sessions. Ensure all records for the program are accurately maintained and archived and are in accordance with proper standards. Assess various situations to determine the importance, urgency, and potential risk involved; and along with the DDS Director make decisions, which are timely and in the best interest of the college as a whole. Handle and process confidential information with discretion and sensitivity. Demonstrate a sense of professionalism and consistently reflect Bristol's core values while interacting with members of the Bristol community. Perform other duties as assigned. Assist with budget preparation and grant administration Prepare/provide documentation Distribute project information Coordinate events with appropriate Bristol staff and the DDS Director Manage pertinent records Assist DDS Director in designing and developing related programs and training Receives and refers funding source correspondence. Provide advisement assistance to the program's students each semester.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
NOTE:
Unless otherwise noted, all required qualifications must be met by date of hire. Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computer operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience shall be considered. Ability to work with sensitive, confidential information, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of payroll and other employee related information. Ability to produce accurate, detailed work and analyze complex or difficult Initiative issues. Ability to assume responsibility and initiative to multitask and meet deadlines. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Access. The ability to work effectively with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff. Excellent interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation in order to travel to and from meetings, trainings, or campus and community locations as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
7 (seven) years of experience managing DDS funded programs for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and teaching DDS related courses at a college or university Master's Degree in Human Services or closely related field. Working knowledge of national and State programs supporting students providing services to individuals with Developmental / Intellectual Disabilities, Knowledge and experience with services provided by the Massachusetts DDS Demonstrated experience working in a higher education environment. Ability to communicate in a language in addition to English.
