JOB TITLE

Elementary School Principal Secretary Qualifications:
Demonstrate excellent secretarial skills, organizational and filing skills, and ability to use technology for word processing, data management, information retrieval, and telecommunications Be proficient in the use of Google Suites and Microsoft Office Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with proper grammar and vocabulary and appropriate telephone etiquette Possess an enthusiastic personality and interpersonal skills as well as excellent integrity and strong moral character and initiative Be professional and positive team member contributing to a dynamic team Demonstrate ability in relating well with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, multitasking, meeting deadlines and schedules, working with frequent interruptions, collaborating, problem-solving, setting priorities, and supporting the team as needed Ability to perform other essential duties as assigned

Shall compose and type all correspondence as directed by principal. Shall complete the necessary forms and reports coming from the principal's office. Shall be responsible for maintaining the Google school calendar. Shall make and keep records of the principal's appointments and screen incoming calls. Shall assist in posting to the school Facebook Page. Shall be responsible for maintaining copies of employee forms sent to Administration Building (Including, but not limited to: Professional Development, FMLA, Personal Business Days.) Shall be responsible for the entry of all immunization records for students. Shall assist in the preparation and posting of the school Newsletter. Shall be responsible for all general mailings. Shall maintain the principal's files, storage and orderliness of the office area. Shall assist teachers with clerical tasks as assigned by the principal. Shall compile, type and process requisitions, purchase orders, and deposits for board accounts and activity accounts. Shall assist the principal with building and department budgets. Shall be responsible for arranging for substitute teachers, secretaries, and aides in emergency situations. Shall be responsible for entering absence information for teachers, secretaries, and aides in the database. Shall be responsible for maintaining and dispensing keys and substitute folders to substitute teachers. Shall assist in the typing involved with accreditation, school improvement and the annual school report. Shall be responsible for school bid order and office supplies, including ordering, inventory and distribution to staff of bid order. Shall be responsible for incoming and outgoing faxes. Shall be responsible for maintaining building copy machines and calling for repairs as needed. Shall assist the principal with entering maintenance work orders. Shall perform all other duties as assigned by the principal. Compensation and benefits are consistent with the Clio Office Personnel contract. Interested applicants must apply at www.clioschools.org.
