THE MANISTEE COUNTY COUNCIL ON AGING
is a community-focused organization based in Manistee, Michigan. Dedicated to serving older adults within the county, the council provides a range of essential services and programs to promote well-being and independence. The organization strives to meet the needs of seniors and enhance their quality of life through various resources and support systems. Role Description This is a part-time, on-site role for an Administrative Assistant in Manistee, MI. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and performing general clerical tasks. This position also requires setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment for daily activities. Some light cleaning, such as changing garbage and sweeping up at the end of the day, is also required. Proficiency in standard office computer software is required. Knowledge of Google and Microsoft Office software to make documents and spreadsheets, QuickBooks to issue checks, some use of Canva for graphic design, and the ability to navigate the internet to conduct daily business are all required. Photography skills are a plus. Qualifications Strong Phone Etiquette and Receptionist Duties experience, including greeting visitors and directing them appropriately. Proficiency in Clerical Skills such as scheduling appointments, data entry, and managing correspondence. Proficiency using Microsoft/Google Office, QuickBooks, Canva, and navigating the internet. Proficiency in using office equipment, such as multi-line phone systems and copy machines. Setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment for daily activities. Previous experience in a receptionist role or similar customer-facing position is preferred.
