Associates Degree or higher level of education Ability to efficiently learn and use a variety of software applications and programs Evidence of proficiency in use of computer-based applications (i.e. Microsoft, Google, etc.) Strong Excel and database skills with the analytical ability to prepare, merge, interpret and illustrate data Evidence of consistent professional communication skills; written, verbal and listening including phone and email - consistently positive approach to customer service Self motivated and takes direction, applies good judgment and decision making skills Ability to anticipate needs and assignments, take initiative, prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to establish and maintain rapport with staff, administration, parents, etc. Demonstrated ability to maintain highly accurate data and records along with an organized filing system Ability to work as a member of a team Commitment to maintain confidentiality Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective and efficient use of a variety of office equipment and technologies Demonstrated commitment to continually enhance and develop job related skills and knowledge base Ability to effectively receive incoming calls, information, and office walk-ins providing quality customer serviceTYPICAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities reflected below are not exclusive and may change to meet the emerging needs of the School and the District. 1. Assist the Assistant Superintendent in all aspects of planning, coordinating and communicating functions of the Office of Instruction 2. Coordinate District-wide Professional Development (PD) logistics, including securing space, organizing presenters, schedule communication and preparing all necessary materials 3. Track teacher attendance at PD sessions within the District's professional development software 4. Prepare attendance data to be uploaded in the MOECS system 5. Organize and maintain the District Calendar, including Open Houses, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Orientations, and Professional Development dates 6. Manage the District-wide substitute calendar for field trips, conferences, and coaching 7. Prepare and distribute agendas and set up materials for all curriculum-related committees 8. Process financial operations including monthly credit card expense reports, purchase orders, and vendor payables for curriculum software and renewals 9. Oversee Dual Enrollment and Early Middle College logistics 10. Coordinate the procurement of curriculum materials and supply orders 11. Update the website with current Office of Instruction materials, meeting minutes, and annual reports 12. Administer digital workflow forms (e.g., Informed K12) for field trips, conference requests, and fundraising, ensuring timely processing and approvals 13. Lead the organizational logistics for events (venue contracts, transportation, and volunteer coordination) 14. Verify professional development completion, specifically ensuring PE teachers maintain required HIV and Sexuality Health Certifications through Wayne RESA 15. Compile and organize student assessment data (M-Step, SAT, NWEA, i-Ready) into practical formats for curriculum planning and accreditation use 16. Attend conferences, meetings, and training as required 17. Comply with all policies and procedures of the District 18. Take direction from the building and District administration 19. Reflect the core value s of Northville Public Schools and contribute positively to the District's culture 20. Demonstrate the ability to accept and apply feedback 21. Demonstrate the ability to think critically and work in teams as well as independently 22. Demonstrate regular and predictable in-person attendance 23.
