Administrative Aide - Half-Time (AM)
LOCATION
Silver Springs Elementary School 205-day position
COMPENSATION
Minimum of $16.43 / hour per Office Support Personnel (OSP) Schedule of Benefits Commensurate with experience and credentials
EXPECTED START DATE
August 2026 (with some transition dates in June 2026)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma Strong desire to serve students, parents, community and staff with enthusiasm and a service-oriented approach Strong technology skills with evidence of proficiency in use of Microsoft computer-based applications Excellent customer service skills Professional telephone and email communication skills Evidence of effective communication skills - written, verbal and listening Self motivated and takes direction, applies good judgment and decision-making skills Ability to anticipate needs and assignments, takes initiative, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to establish and maintain rapport with students, parents, staff, administration, and vendors Ability to maintain a highly accurate and organized filing system Ability to handle basic budget functions and comply with procedures to account for school funds Ability to collect necessary data for various reports and maintain compliant submission status Ability to work as a member of a team Commitment to maintain confidentiality Strong organizational skills and detail oriented Effective use of a variety of office equipment and technologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education (strongly preferred) Knowledge of computer applications and ability to work with databases (i.e., Excel, MiStar, Google Suite) Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities reflected below are not exclusive and may change to meet the emerging needs of the School and the District. 1. Assist students, parents, staff and administration in a friendly and professional manner 2. Record daily attendance 3. Sort/distribute daily mail 4. Maintain compliant school report submission status, as required 5. Manage Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR) for student immunizations and communicate with families accordingly 6. Dispense medications per physician's orders and parent permission 7. Maintain CA-60 updates 8. Assist in maintaining an orderly office environment 9. Complete a variety of assigned tasks and duties that support the functions of the school office and daily operations 10. Comply with all policies and procedures of the District 11. Take direction from the building and District administration 12. Reflect the core values of Northville Public Schools 13. Demonstrate the ability to accept and apply feedback 14. Demonstrate regular and predictable in-person attendance 15. Perform other duties as assigned by building administration This position reports to the building administration.
