GED Full Job Description Job Purpose:
Brecon Village is seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers to support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. The Caregiver will work closely with residents, families, and healthcare staff to ensure a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Support mobility, including transferring, walking assistance, and use of mobility aids Provide medication reminders in accordance with care plans and facility policies Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition Assist with meal service, feeding when necessary, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration Maintain accurate documentation of care and services provided Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for residents Engage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures Collaborate with nurses, supervisors, and other staff to deliver high-quality care
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting residents with mobility
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a healthcare setting Knowledge of dementia care and senior support best practices Familiarity with infection prevention and control standards Experience with electronic documentation systems
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated compassion, patience, and reliability Ability to work independently and proactively, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
