Job Description

Overview Optage, a division of Presbyterian Homes and Services, is seeking a medical administrative professional to join its Home-office team as the Optage Services Coordinator to support Optage Hospice frontline workers with the coordination of care services, medical records and office support. Responsibilities The Optage Services Coordinator provides support for our team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other front-line workers by completing administrative tasks in support of the clinicians and other field staff. This key support role is located at our Optage Home-office. This position would include obtaining medical records for review, scheduling of clinicians, electronically filing and follow up for necessary paperwork. The Optage Services Coordinator would also include communication with clinics, hospitals, families, and our PHS sites & partners, providing excellent customer service. Someone who has great attention to detail, is organized, compassionate, and has a positive attitude will thrive in this position. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in home health, hospice, senior housing, or health care related environment. Must understand basic medical/clinical terminology and reimbursement. Must have strong communication, problem solving skills, and customer service focus. Must be able to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision. Must be a team player, willing to take directions and accept responsibility for meeting specified objectives. Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with allcustomers. Pay Range The estimated starting pay range for this role is $20.22 - $24.92 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS's typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee's qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.
