Job Description

Job Description Responsible for the daily operation and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the Academic Advising Center and K-12 Initiatives Programs. Responsible for administration, management and support of complex programs such as Discovery Academy, Perkins Grant and co-planning and registration of camps.
Salary Range:
$20.76 to $27.53
Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of:
Communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files Accounting/budgeting/expense reporting sufficient to monitor and balance multiple budgets and grants Manage an office or work area by planning, organizing, administering, and directing the work of workstudy or student workers.
Ability to:
Accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data Typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy Respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes Physical Requirements, with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to: Work in a seated or standing position for extended periods of time Use a keyboard for extended periods of time which may include repetitive motion Move and/or transport items weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis Maintain a stationary position for a prolonged period of the day Preferred Qualification Two year degree or diploma Experience working in a fast paced office setting Experience working with data management software programs Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment. Demonstrates strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with exceptional attention to detail; works independently with minimal supervision and remains adaptable when managing shifting priorities and navigating unclear procedures or expectations. Bilingual/multilingual in Spanish, Somali, French, Hmong, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities. Ability to apply equity-minded practices to support the academic success and engagement of students from diverse backgrounds and with varied abilities and interests. Other Requirements In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
