  • The Retirement Processing Assistant is a full-time position in which an extremely organized individual is responsible for preparing, reviewing and processing incoming retirement and deceased participant applications.
Responds to incoming telephone and walk in inquiries about retirement and death benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to Receive incoming retirement and death applications. Review each application for eligibility and completeness. Research incomplete applications by contacting the applicant to request missing documents Assist callers and walk ins with questions regarding: Eligibility for benefits Applying for benefits Payout process Communicate with outside vendors as needed to process payments of benefits. Ability to multi-task well and remain organized. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job Required Skills
  • Superior communication skills and keen observation are essential. Must pay careful attention to document details. Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent. Language Skills
  • Ability to comprehend written materials such as plan documents and legal correspondence. Communicate professionally, tactfully and clearly with participants, fellow employees and other professionals. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and algebra. Must be able to understand and apply knowledge of decimals, fractions, and percentages. Reasoning Skills
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions. Ability to assess and analyze production results for accuracy and efficiency. Computer Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential, exposure to SharePoint is a plus. Physical Demands
  • Occasional lifting of paperwork, files, and printer paper. Work Environment
  • High-volume, fast-paced and noisy. Work Schedule

  • Friday, 7:30am
  • 4:30pm.
