POSITION TITLE:
KATC Administrative Assistant
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
? High School diploma or equivalent ? Excellent typing and writing skills ? Effective communication skills to include public relations and telephone skills ? Knowledge of business machines, including computers, printers, copiers ? Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Spreadsheet, word processing, PowerPoint)
CONTRACT DAYS WORKED
9.5 Months= School Term plus 10 additional days
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Wage and work calendar to be established by the Board of Education.

JOB GOAL
To provide highly organized, professional, and student-centered administrative support that enhances the daily operations of Kirksville Area Technical Center, supports instructors and administrators, and contributes to a positive learning environment that prepares students for career and postsecondary success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? General receptionist, directing incoming phone calls and answering questions regarding available programs. ? Maintain student records and files to include but not limited to: ? Certifications/Credentials Received ? CTE Certificate data ? Workplace Experience Hours ? Prepare purchase orders, and process bills of the center. ? Assist in record keeping of all grant purchases and deadlines. ? Enter field trips and maintain documentation from Kirksville and Sending School students. ? Sending school attendance, tuition and calendar; coordinating between secretaries and principals. ? Prepare schedules, assist with grade reporting and reading of tests for students. ? Coordinating expense/leave/teacher absence forms to include securing substitutes. ? Maintaining substitute binders for classes, complete forms, rosters for classes, and plans. ? Achieve certification and administer assessments through the Testing Lab. ? Assist with managing and updating the school's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram). ? Photograph or record classroom activities, student showcases, and special events (following district policies). ? Help maintain a content calendar and ensure timely posting. ? Support marketing campaigns for recruitment, open houses, and community outreach. ? Update and Distribute newsletters, flyers, and promotional materials. ? Serve as a liaison with parents, partner schools, businesses, and community organizations.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
? Other duties as assigned. This does not preclude the assignment of additional or supplemental duties. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment as needed to reflect such duties. ? Participate in Professional Development training. ? Working to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, their parents/guardians, as well as business and industry concerning student performance in the career and technical education program.
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
? Duties performed typically in district settings to include the cafeteria, gym, recreational areas and other assigned areas. ? Physical demands can include but are not limited to: Exerts up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects including equipment such as audio-visual. ? Frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and other limited physical activities are required. ? Mental demands can include but are not limited to: Comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, and synthesizing.
