Overview The Operations & Tourism Coordinator provides administrative, visitor services, and event support for the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for supporting daily office operations, Chamber communications, tourism promotion, and community engagement activities. This role is ideal for an organized, dependable, and customer-focused individual who enjoys interacting with the public and contributing to a positive, professional environment. Duties Welcome and assist visitors, members, and community guests Answer phone calls, emails, and general inquiries Maintain front desk, office organization, and visitor areas Assist with scheduling, filing, data entry, copying, and other clerical duties Help maintain member and tourism databases Support social media posting, newsletters, and website updates Assist in promoting local events, attractions, and Chamber activities Restock brochures, maps, and visitor information materials Help coordinate Chamber events, ribbon cuttings, tourism programs, and community activities Assist with event setup, vendor communication, and volunteer coordination Maintain office and promotional supply inventory Provide support to the Executive Director with daily operations and projects Build positive relationships with Chamber members, businesses, and community partners Perform other duties as assigned to support Chamber operations and initiatives Skills Strong communication and customer service skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities Comfortable working with the public and community partners Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and email systems Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing tools preferred Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Ability to work independently while following direction and established priorities Previous office, customer service, tourism, or event experience preferred but not required Join the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce as our Operations & Tourism Coordinator.
