General Summary The Administrative Assistant for Information Technologies (IT) works closely with IT leaders, department staff, and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive administrative support, ensure the efficient operation of the department, and facilitate the effective delivery of IT services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director of IT. Serves as coordinator and point of contact for IT department projects and efforts. Maintains a functional and organized IT department. Creates and maintains accurate records and reports. Oversees office supplies and IT asset inventory. Ensures timely processing of invoices and facilitates contract renewals. Organizes departmental and IT-associated meetings. Plans and coordinates employee engagement activities. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a business field preferred. Work Experience Minimum of two years as an administrative assistant or similar role required. Demonstrated experience with documents, databases, spreadsheets, and email. Certification/License None Mental/Physical Requirements Considerable mental concentration for sustained periods of time with frequent interruptions. Light lifting (25 lbs.) required. Standing, sitting and walking required. Working Conditions Typical office conditions with noise and distractions. Possible eye strain or other discomfort from constant use of computer screens.
