REPORTS TO

Principal

JOB GOAL

To complete the detail and written work required by the position; to coordinate other matters essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Other duties may be assigned. Assists the Principal in screening telephone calls and visitors and recording messages, etc. Assists the Principal and persons assigned to him/her. Attends meetings and types notes from meetings per request. Collaborates with other secretaries to ensure the receptionist area is covered. Assists all other administrative staff, teachers and non-certified staff as directed. Sort mail for the school. Type correspondence and reports for the principal. Assist in the use of office copiers as needed; file. Type letters and notices to parents/guardians and staff for the school Take telephone calls, relay messages to the principal, students and staff. Stamp and prepare mail for the post office. Process approved purchase orders and verifies invoices. Assist the principal in public relations work in which he/she is involved. Manage and process payroll, attendance, etc. Other duties as identified

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma; prior secretarial experience; technology skills..
