Apply here: https://jobs.gfcmsu.edu/postings/2470 General Statement Front-line direct customer service staff who assists with phone and walk-in traffic and data entry for the Office of the Registrar. The Records Clerk includes shared data entry in Banner, REACH, DegreeWorks & various databases, processing transcript requests, providing front-office assistance for students, maintaining the online Academic Catalog, filing, purging, archiving student files for Registrar, Financial Aid, and other Student Service areas as needed and providing back-up for academic classroom scheduling. Core Duties Perform routine clerical and administrative functions for a specific program or work unit in order to deliver specialized or narrowly defined services. Includes creating or editing correspondence, overseeing schedules and calendars, coordinating special functions, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, updating website, assisting with brochures, newsletters and other informational materials; and providing specialized information to internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Customer service for Office of the Registrar 2. Data entry in various softwares/databases 3. Records management - filing, archiving, maintaining supplies, etc. 4. Support other offices and events on campus 5. DegreeWorks Scribe maintenance and online Catalog maintenance Required Qualifications 1. Proficient in use of equipment including: computers, printers, copier/fax machine, and multi-line phone system with voice mail. 2. Proficient in the use of software including: Microsoft Office and internet browsers, MS Outlook e-mail. 3. Customer service experience 4. High attention to detail and accuracy especially with data entry 5. Time management and organizational skills are critical 6. Communication skills (both written and oral) are necessary in order to effectively communicate through a variety of modes to a variety of clients. Preferred Qualifications 1. Two years of successful college coursework and/or working knowledge of higher education 2. File maintenance experience 3. Relational database (Banner) experience 4. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) experience 5. Catalog software experience or DegreeWorks scribe/maintenance experience The Successful Candidate Will Ability to maintain records with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other departments and staff across campus. Be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work effectively as a member of a team. Demonstrate competence organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Pay:

$18.24 per hour
