News Clerk

The Daily Inter Lake is seeking a detail-oriented News Clerk to support our newsroom operations. This part-time position plays a key role in managing obituary submissions, maintaining community event calendars, and assisting with content management tasks.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage obituary submissions with accuracy and sensitivity Curate and update local event calendars for print and digital platforms Assist with content organization and basic newsroom administrative tasks Provide excellent customer service to community members and contributors Ensure deadlines are met through strong organizational and time management skills

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication abilities Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with digital systems

Schedule & Compensation:
