Guidance Secretary & Driver's Ed Coordinator

SALARY:
Per NC State Salary Schedule - NC05
STARTING DATE:
Immediate
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years college preferred Accounting experience preferred Demonstrated effective clerical skills Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community at large Positive role model both professionally and personally
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to ethical standards of the education profession, abiding by laws, policies and procedures that govern the schools and demonstrates high personal ethical standards both inside and outside the school environment Supports mission of Currituck County Schools Provide clerical assistance to staff, including answering phones, screening inquiries Represent school in greeting guests, parents, students, and the public Defines and disseminates information about school policies and procedures to parents, students, staff and community Operates computer for routine recording and standard office equipment (including multi-line phone system) in performance of duties
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND DISPOSITIONS
Some knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting methods Knowledge and/or ability to learning computer software programs specific to Currituck County Schools Working knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, vocabulary usage and basic arithmetic Ability to schedule variable work, work cooperatively and constructively with others, set up and maintain filing systems as appropriate Willingness to learn procedures for data input, including selection of codes, code transactions in the correct way and maintain accurate records Ability to reconcile divergent entries and resolve problem situations
