QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate and two years of training beyond high school or three years experience in this job category. Minimum typing skill of 45 wpm. Working knowledge of PC applications (word processing, database, and spreadsheet). Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the staff of Psychological Services, to include coordinator and school psychologists, with clerical assistance. Receives telephone calls and visitors and directs them to the appropriate sources of requested information. Provides information to public or other employees, which require a knowledge of office rules and regulations. Types correspondence, psycho-educational evaluations and other business documents. Keeps a current inventory of all test kits, test protocols, books and resource materials. Responsible for daily checking in and out of above mentioned items. Assists psychologists in locating test kits and protocols, which are not immediately available in office. Assists coordinator with ordering test kits, text protocols and other materials needed to maintain adequate supplies for the department to conduct everyday tasks. Orders and distributes all office supplies. Responsible for all school psychologists' daily schedules, Sick Leave, Annual Leave and Professional Leave Request forms for Reason 4 or 5. Contacts payroll schools to report absences and sends signed original copies to the payroll schools. Locates and informs school psychologists when there is an emergency/crisis at their assigned school. Receives monthly Professional Activity Logs (PALS) and local travel forms from school psychologists and forwards to coordinator. Collects a variety of data from existing office records and compiles into required form/spreadsheet for use of coordinator or related working units. Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing postal/courier mail for all school psychologists. Assists coordinator with setting up for staff development to include getting materials together. Informs all school psychologists of any inclement weather decisions. Maintains and files all office documents to include confidential evaluations of children from public, private and home schooling. Knowledge of telephone system (i.e., setting up voice mail for 40 telephones, and correcting any problems that may arise before contacting technology department). Disseminates group messages (written and oral) from coordinator and other school officials. Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing fairness. Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have finger dexterity and be able to perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, walking, lifting, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motions.
