Job Description

Under general direction, the purpose of this position is to provide administrative and general duties for the Detention Center Data Section. An employee in this class is responsible for performing oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Detention Center Data Section.
Responsible for:
Answering complaints Update Pistol with received documents Run daily reports Coordinates with the booking/release manager and/or booking/release director on the status of inmates going to court and those awaiting release from custody. Performs related work as required High school diploma or GED supplemented by knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two (2) years of previous experience and/or training involving clerical or secretarial work involving the use of computer-driven records processing and database programs; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. North Carolina Driver's License High School Transcripts or GED Birth Certificate Military DD-214 Member-4 (if applicable) Social Security Card The Authorization for Release form must be notarized. Ability to obtain and maintain DCI certifications Ability to interpret various information obtained through DCI Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, and law enforcement Ability to organize work effectively Ability to use discretion Ability to interpret various information Ability to anticipate work to be done Ability to meet goals and deadlines Ability to research information effectively Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Ability to use good judgment in non-routine situations Ability to work in a group setting when necessary Must be able to work around inmates
