Retina Medical Practice with 3 office's in the Raleigh area. We are looking for a full time front desk coordinator. The practice has been in business for 15+ years.
Medical Office Assistant Duties:
  • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
  • Assist with patient registration, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary paperwork
  • Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records as needed
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Assist healthcare providers with basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs or collecting specimens
  • Process billing and insurance claims, including verifying coverage and submitting claims for reimbursement
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and phone systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
