Retina Medical Practice with 3 office's in the Raleigh area. We are looking for a full time front desk coordinator. The practice has been in business for 15+ years.Medical Office Assistant Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Assist with patient registration, including verifying insurance information and collecting necessary paperwork
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records as needed
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist healthcare providers with basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs or collecting specimens
- Process billing and insurance claims, including verifying coverage and submitting claims for reimbursement
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and phone systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
