YRTC-K serves male youth between the ages of 14 and just before the age of 19. All youth committed to the facility are adjudicated (ordered) by the court, committed until the age of 19 or till they complete the programming As a Office Specialist, you will: Provide detailed technical, administrative, and clerical support to a section, unit, or supervisor Support daily program operations and administrative functions within the agency Ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with agency policies and procedures Assist with technical support, office operations, and special projects as assigned Maintain and organize records, files, reports, and other documentation in electronic and physical filing systems Prepare, edit, proofread, and distribute reports, correspondence, and administrative materials Coordinate administrative processes and assist with workflow organization and task management Apply established guidelines, policies, and procedures to complete assignments and resolve routine issues Exercise sound judgment when handling records, processes, and day-to-day operational tasks Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization Utilize agency-specific software systems, office equipment, and standard business applications Communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors, coworkers, agency staff, and external stakeholders Provide information, assistance, and customer service support to internal and external customers Assist with general office and administrative support duties as needed May provide guidance, support, or training to entry-level staff Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite or Google Docs Experience with client record systems and data-entry platforms Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and process large amounts of information Ability to follow detailed instructions in a professional setting Other:
May require experience and/or training that is unique to the work assigned; a specific data entry keystroke speed or word processing speed; a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation; and/or criminal history background checks and other specific background check protocols for their agency. Monday - Friday 8am-4pm (0800-1600) Compensation:
